Tree-o Gallery opens its 13^th Featured Artist Showcase on

Saturday 3^rd June 2023!

Our regular Showcase exhibitions contain finely crafted timber furniture by the resident trio of designer/makers alongside works by two (or more) locally based 2D &/or 3D Featured Artists and other artist one-offs and/or smaller collections. Tree-o Gallery is hosting two incredible Featured Artists for its 13th Showcase exhibition with opening night to be held on Saturday the 3rd of June from 4-6pm. It also coincides with the Gallery’s 4th Birthday so we hope you can come along to help us celebrate and enjoy a beautiful new setting in the space, chat with the artists and keep warm around the fire pits.

EMMA LOUISE DAVIES – Sculpture & Drawings Emma could be described as “a quiet achiever” in the local art scene, but her works speak volumes! Locals will know “CRUISING”, the playable outdoor sculpture of the fish on the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore. The bronze cast and timber sculptures she will exhibit at Tree-o show a skill level that her years of art training and experimenting has honed. Her drawings show the same skill and dedication.

JEREMY BARRETT – 2D Paintings Jeremy’s formal training started at ‘The National Gallery of Victoria Art School” in the early 60’s, then more training in London and Europe in the mid 60’s. His work shows an incredible depth of skill that a lifetime of working his craft has made him master of. “A man at the peak of his career.” Jeremy and his wife Sue lived in Valla Beach for a number of years until recent circumstances caused them to relocate to Canberra. Most of the works on display at Tree-o were painted during their time in lovely Valla Beach.

Of course there will also be the usual variety of quality Australian hardwood furniture made in the workshop next door by the talented designer/makers; Bim Morton, Trevor Oliver-King/Kingfisher Audio and Sarah Andersen.
As always there will be other locally made works on display to delight and inspire!

This exhibition will run until September 2023.

The Gallery’s OPENING HOURS will be changing soon and with less foot traffic on the weekend in recent times and other upcoming Tree-o staff commitments, we will not be open on Saturday after the opening night – at least for the Winter 2023 period. If you would like to book a special/group viewing on a Saturday, please call or email us to enquire.
